Gear Behind the Scene
You see a lot of guitars, pedals, amps, and other gear in our videos—but there's also a whole lot of gear working behind the scenes to help us make them.
This page is dedicated to the companies and products we use regularly to create PJ and the Beard. These are brands we genuinely love, products we trust, and gear that has become part of our everyday setup.
We aren't sponsored by the companies featured here, and we're not paid endorsers. We don't have to say nice things about their products—we do that because we actually use them and believe in what they're making.
Some of the gear we use was purchased by us, and occasionally a company may send us something to try out. Either way, our opinions are our own. If we use it, recommend it, or feature it here, it's because we genuinely love having it as part of the PJ and the Beard setup.
We wanted to create this page as a way to give a little extra attention to the companies and gear that help us do what we do. If you see something here that catches your eye, check them out and support the people making the gear we enjoy using every day.
Tyler Amp Works
Tyler Amp Works - Our Tyler JT-22 has been used in nearly every video in 2021. This amp is a 22-watt hybrid between a Fender Princeton and Deluxe and we love it!
Righton! Straps
A quality strap is invaluable! We have been reaching for one of several Righton! Straps when we need to secure a guitar.
Walrus Audio
Walrus makes great gear. We have been using their Canvas power supplies and tuners on our demo and personal pedal boards for quite a while. Both are highly recommended.
Curt Mangan Strings
Curt Mangan strings are wonderful. If you haven't tried them yet, you should!
Morley
KMMK Square Plugs
Morley makes awesome wah pedals, but they also make some other gear. Their switchers have been an integral part of our demo board since 2021.
KMMK Square Plugs
KMMK Square Plugs
All the patch cables we use on the demo board are made with Square Plugs. Since they are used on the demo board, they get used pretty hard and continue to hold up. They are also super low-profile, so they are great for all your pedalboard needs.
DLS Effects
We are big fans of DLS Effects. That said, the EchoTOUR shows up on nearly every video we do. It is a wonderful analog delay pedal, and the echo tone knob is an awesome addition. It is not only on our demo board, but show up on our live boards as well. Oh yeah, and the price is right!
Pedaltrain
Both of us have been using Pedaltrain pedal boards outside of the channel.
